I can not begin to describe how excited I am about my upcoming trip to Florida! The company I work for has its annual retreat at Disney this year, then my husband and I are going to Universal Studios for a few days of vacation (Sorry, the toddler will not be in tow!) Did I mention that I’ll be in Tampa teaching a review a few days before retreat? I will be in Florida having a healthy mix of work and vacation for a whopping 12 days! Let the packing party commence!!

This Fix, I asked my wonderful stylist Lauren for great pieces for Disney and Universal. I mentioned that I needed pieces I could transition from work meetings during the day to company parties at night. As always, Lauren delivered! Let’s see what the outcome for this Fix was….

THML Betsy Abstract Stripe Fit & Flare Dress in Black ($68.00) RETURNED

First of all, let me say that I LOVED this dress. Fit & Flare dresses are exactly my style, especially when they don’t fit too tightly then flare too widely. This dress was perfect! I love the abstract stripe print as well. The stripes are not white, like they may appear to be in the photo. They are more of a beige color, which adds some uniqueness to this piece. The ONLY reason I did not keep this dress is because I own so many dresses in this style. I may be having “sent back withdrawals” about this one, though. I really think I should have kept it now. Sad face….

Just USA Morrie Boyfriend Denim Jacket in White ($58.00) RETURNED

IMG_2776

This denim jacket is everything you expect a denim jacket to be: sturdy, well-fitting, and comfortable. I also loved the fact that it was white, not your typical blue-jean jacket. My only issue with this one is I live in the “Dirty South” and have NO need for a jacket of any kind this time of year. I wouldn’t wear this piece until at least November, because that is when it first will cool down enough to wear it. So I sent this one back, even though it was lovely!

Pixley Wesly Lattice Back Knit Top in Black (54.00) AND Renee C Campbell Printed Skirt in Turquoise ($58.00) KEPT AND KEPT (GET IN MY CLOSET NOW!!)

When I tell ya’ll that my husband’s jaw dropped…and that is all a girl needs to see to let her know this whole outfit is a keeper. First, the top is so comfortable. I could pair this with jeans and dress it down for a more casual look. I LOVE the lattice detail of the straps. I usually love bright colors, but I really appreciate the fact that this top is black. It will be easier to pair with almost any bottoms I own. The skirt is so easy to wear. No zippers or buttons. I usually do not like bandage style skirts, because I am still working on my “Mama Kangaroo pouch.” I felt like this skirt didn’t accentuate it, but helped to mask it some. This outfit will be perfect for one of our company party nights at Disney! Packing made easy!

Level 99 Cindie Printed Linen Short in Blue ($78) RETURNED

IMG_2780

It is rare that I wear shorts. So, if I buy a pair of shorts, I have to LOVE them. I didn’t love these for multiple reasons. First, the print is a little busy to me. Secondly, they are expensive for shorts, in my opinion. Lastly, I realized I have NOTHING to wear with them. This is actually a good thing, because it let me know what I need to ask Lauren for in the future. These were an easy fit and I am sure that the fabric would have allowed me to roam the parks at Universal and Disney comfortably. I wasn’t in love with these, so back they went.

So, I had a 2/5 Fix (should have been a 3/5.) As always, I am happy with that! I shop at multiple places, so I only keep items I love. I am more than excited to wear my new pieces at our company party night. I hope Minnie shows up and wonders where I got my outfit. I think Mickey would definitely approve! Let me know what you think!
