The “SoulShine” Series! Shining the spotlight on: Casey Royer

Be The Light Happy Monday, friends! It is my honor and privilege to bring to you another edition of The “SoulShine” Series! Today’s featured individual is a hard-working woman. She is kind, loves animals, and her smile is contagious! Did I mention she can bake a pretty mean cake, too? Casey Royer’s volunteerism is what moved me to feature her on this platform. Casey hosted a bake sale a few months ago to benefit the Animal Rescue League in Monticello, MS. She was successfully able to host adoption fees and provide much-needed supplies for the shelter. This level of selflessness and community service is beautiful and encouraging. Here is more about Casey in her own words:

My name is Casey Royer. I am a 28-year-old single mother to a beautiful six-year-old boy. I work as an x-ray tech full-time. My son and I love arts and crafts, and I’ve recently developed a love for baking. I have always had a desire to help and give back, but as a single mother I was limited financially. I have been able to use my love for baking to host bake sales and give back in ways that I never thought possible. I was able to raise over $600 for our local animal rescue league last month. It was such a success! I plan on doing many more bake sales for a variety of organizations in the coming months. I’m so thankful to have found a way to help and give back that fits my budget. There is truly no greater feeling!

Please help me in thanking Casey for “being the light!”

If you would like to be featured for the “SoulShine” Series, or if you know someone who would be a great feature, then nominate them! We are currently holding open submissions until the end of the month! You can submit your nomination by clicking here.
