Nursing Instructor? Will travel! Campus spotlight: Wesleyan College

All I can say is, “aaaahhhh…it feels so good to be on the road again!” I am back to doing what I love to do. It is the beginning of the busy review season with my job, so I’m hitting the road…literally! Bring on the flight delays and really bad airport food! I’m totally down for it!

This past week, I had the pleasure of teaching a great group of nursing students at Wesleyan College. Wesleyan is located in Macon, Georgia (about 90 minutes south of Atlanta). Wesleyan prides itself with being First for Women (Wesleyan College), and their graduating all-female class is proof of that statement. This group of diverse, strong ladies were a joy to teach. They were very welcoming and brought fun to the classroom.

One thing is usually very obvious when I teach at any institution. There is either fear or respect for faculty at every school. Respect runs deep within the “Golden walls” of Wesleyan’s nursing program. The students have an amazing relationship with their faculty and director. I was blessed to witness them in general conversation, laughing like friends, conversing like equals. Not one moment of disrespect was witnessed between student and teacher. It was incredibly refreshing to see. These students are excelling. I partly believe that is due to such a great relationship with faculty.

I would like to thank the faculty, staff, and students at Wesleyan College for being such gracious hosts! To the wonderful ladies at Wesleyan, keeping pushing toward your goals and never give up! Happy graduation!
